Hi all,
Qucik post. I know I havent posted for a while. Work @ Uni has been hectic and I havent really had a decent bit to sit down and breathe. The 1st semester is over with (actually still have one more work to finish!) and we're now working on winter school stuff (two intensive weeks of work, conferences, presentations and so on in February, starting on the 21st) which this year will be held in Coimbra. Can't wait to see all my dear friends from Italy there! yeyey
So until then I'll be working like crazy from home with my virtual team (Jose from Barcelona, Liça from Quebec and Gozia from Poland - talk about managing diversity @ work!). Thank God for skype and dropbox!
So Christmas is gone now. It was great having Francisco from Colombia and Carine from Brazil here at home to celebrate Christmas with my family. Thank you so much for coming guys;)
Now New Years will be spend in Germany, Cologne, with Carine and my dear friends Erika and Franziska who'll be there waiting for us. It'll be a quick visit of 4 days where i hope to see Dusseldorf, Cologne & Bielefeld. Now, present challenge is: to pack all the necessary stuff in one small back pack, considering we'll be in -whatever Celsius, and don't even dare to bring any souvenirs. Ryanair kinda sucks on this....
Anyway, it'll be fun:)
As far as New Year, expectations are high high HIGH. Got a good feeling about it, i really do. My horoscope says the same. We shall see:) It'll definitely be a year of challenges, decisions and craziness. Even though it can be kinda scaring, I think my excitement and enthusiasm about it are leaving all possible insecurities and fears behind. The opportunity and possibility of emancipation is reaaaally attractive.
We'll see.
So, I guess for now that's it.
High dreams and realistic expectations seems to me a good balance to keep us grounded and clever.
Peace out and enjoy New Year!!! (despite this goddamn weather...which im actually getting used to)
;)*****
ps - this post was written in english because by now, due to all the work i've done in this language (which by now is more than in portuguese), the linguistic part of brain is kinda messed up. sorry. give me some days and i'll fix it. hopefully
ps2 - Beka, thank uuuuuuuuuuu for ur gifts and this amazing musi.c I was really needing to update my stuff. Rocking out to Noisettes:)
